As an official partner of the installation "Nordic Masterpieces," we at Luxussound are delighted to present this deep insight into the work of Danish design legends Arne Jacobsen and Otto Weitling. We are particularly proud that this exhibition is a true collaborative project of our house: supported and co-designed by the showrooms minimum, NYHUES, and our Bang & Olufsen Flagship Store, Jacobsen's creative cosmos is made tangibly accessible here.
More than an Exhibition: A Cinematic Experience
The creators of THE LINK (curators Jan Dimog and Hendrik Bohle) have created an installation that impresses with six artistic building portraits. Supplemented by large-format images and texts, the films capture the play of light, material, and space, showing how this architecture still "breathes" and is used today – decades after the era of post-war modernism.
A special highlight for aesthetes: In the midst of the open cubes in the foyer, you will find a reconstruction of the legendary "Room 606" from the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Furnished with original pieces, this room makes it clear how Jacobsen understood architecture, furniture, and atmosphere as a single, holistic design – a rare example of Scandinavian design history.
