The Beolab 19 owes its impressive impact not only to its striking design. Every technical detail has been refined to perfectly capture the emotions in the lowest frequency spectrum. The fully digital Beolab 19 houses an impressive list of components and functions in its innovatively compact housing.
Two bespoke 8-inch units, each paired with its own 160-watt Class D amplifier, are installed back-to-back in separate enclosures to minimise interaction. Using Bang & Olufsen's Acoustic Balance Principle, the units are connected in phase to apply equal forces in opposite directions, eliminating unwanted vibration. The result is a powerful subwoofer with clean sound and flexible placement options that will shake the room without having to be relegated to a shelf or rocking the furniture.
Optimal sound experience.
The BeoLab 19 offers additional placement options through its Room Adaptation switch, which optimally adapts the bass reproduction to its position in the room: whether freestanding, against a wall or in a corner. Although the human ear cannot determine from which direction the lowest tones come, this function is an advantage because the reflective properties of a room significantly affect the sound image.
In addition, BeoLab 19 features overheat protection and Adaptive Bass Linearisation (ABL), so you can increase the volume without worrying about overheating or sound distortion. A phase switch and low-pass filter offer additional fine-tuning to ensure perfect bass management and optimal integration into your speaker system.
