The Art of Recreating: 11 Steps to a Flawless Rebirth
The journey of a Beosystem 3000c does not begin on the drawing board, but with the careful rediscovery of historic B&O classics. Original units of the Beogram 3000 Series arrive at Factory 3 in Struer, Denmark, where they first undergo a meticulous technical and mechanical inspection. Based on an individual service plan, every single component is professionally disassembled and cleaned down to the smallest detail.
At the steeped-in-tradition Factory 5, the aluminium elements receive their new, distinctive finish: through precise grinding, pearl-blasting, and anodizing, the exclusive Dune Grey shade is created, while in parallel the housing is prepared for its high-quality painting process. During reassembly, B&O specialists replace wear-prone electronic and mechanical parts and adapt key components to state-of-the-art technical standards, ensuring complete future-proofing.
The masterpiece is completed with the integration of refined new parts – including a crystal-clear dust lid, the newly developed SMMC1 pick-up cartridge, newly crafted aluminium buttons, fabric-covered cables, and vibration-dampening feet. Following final, precise adjustments and rigorous functional testing, each of the 100 numbered sets worldwide leaves the factory as an unmistakable piece of unique Danish craftsmanship.
